November is a month to reflect and think about what you are grateful for. As in the USA, Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching and it is a day we celebrate thanks and think of what we are grateful for. Each day I want to show you all something I am thankful for in my life. I believe we all have different things to be thankful for, even things we take for granted. In this world, I believe that we take even the simplest things for granted when we should be thankful for what we have. I am guilty of this just as much as the next person, I am not always the most thankful for what I have. With all of the tragedy going on in the world, I want to stop and think about what I am grateful for each and every day in November. I hope you will join me in thinking about what you are grateful for at least once a day in the month of November. Each day I will add to this post, so be sure to check back to see what I am grateful for each day.
I am grateful for my two beautiful and wonderful puppies. Savy is on the left and Hailey is on the right. Both are so sweet, loving and independent. I really do not know what I would do without them in my life. But seriously, aren’t they just the cutest?
I am grateful for my caring and loving husband. He is always there for me when I need him, even through good times and bad. He is my strength when I am weak and my support when I am happy. I do not know what I would do without him in my life. I cannot wait to see what life has in store for the rest of our time together.
I am beyond grateful for my mother. She is my rock, my best friend and my steady constant ever since I was born. She shares a passion for travel, not as much as me of course! I honestly do not know what I would do without my sweet, caring, compassionate, strong willed and amazing mother. She is one of a kind.
Today I am thankful for my vision. Many of us take our vision for granted. Without your vision there is many wonderful things you would not be able to see with your own two eyes. Some days I take my vision for granted, but others especially when I am on a trip or in a new place make me thankful each day for my vision. I do not know what I would do without it. I love seeing new things and making memories through my own two eyes.
Today I am grateful for my nephew. He is so sweet, cute and fierce all at the same time. He has taught me many different life lessons without even knowing it and he is only 3! Even though we are many miles apart, I am grateful that he still knows who I am. He is growing so fast, so fast that I feel I cannot keep up with him. But seriously, how cute is he?
Today I am grateful for my hearing. Every day we hear new sounds everywhere around us. People take these sounds for granted because they do not know life without it. I am one of these people. Whenever I get in a new place I am thankful for my hearing to hear all the new sounds. My favorite sound is hearing the waves in the ocean.
Today I am grateful for the ability to travel. Not everyone in the world has the necessary means to travel. I am lucky enough to be able to take the few trips I do a year and be able to pay for my husband and mom to go with. I pay it forward for how blessed I am in that regard. Travel has opened my eyes to many different places and allowed me to find myself while going new places. I will forever be grateful for each and every travel experience that I have had.
Today I am grateful for my job. When moving to a new area it was stressful to get a job. I spent two months without a job and trying for everything I could get. I had recently got my Masters degree but no one wanted to hire a recent college graduate. Thankfully the job I have now found me and I feel lucky and blessed every day to have a job.
I am thankful for my entire family. Although we are not as close as I would love to be, I love each and every one of them for different reasons. As time goes on I learn new things about them each and every day. I know that my family loves me and they know I love them. For that I will forever be grateful for every single one of them. They are my rock and I would not know what to do without them. Mom, dad, sister, nephew, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins are an important part of my life.
Today I am grateful for my “cruise buddies”. I went on a cruise thinking I would never meet anyone and still be friends with them to this day. Well, these people have completely changed the way I look at travel and how I look at life. That cruise I walked away with not only a new travel experience, but new friends. Those would turn into my best friend and her parents in which are close friends that feel more like family.
In the USA, today is Veterans Day. We celebrate those who have fought for our country to keep it safe. This day makes me grateful for the people who have and do fight for our country to keep it safe. This day also makes me thankful for my freedom.
Today I am grateful for my grandma. She is my last surviving grandma and she means the world to me. This lady has always made me laugh, comforted me when I need comfort and consoled me when times were tough. She is one of the strongest women I know. I do not always call her or see her like I should, but I am always grateful I have her in my life.
Today I am grateful for my dad. We might have not always had the best of relationships, but the older I get the better our relationship seems to get. He survived a heart attack earlier this year, I will forever be grateful for his strength. Not many survives those, but it gave us a second chance to have a true real father/daughter relationship. For that, I am grateful and for him I am thankful he is in my life.
Today I am grateful for my sister. We also have not always had the best of relationships, but we always stuck up for one another. We also always offered support to one another growing up. Sometimes we take our siblings for granted, but at the end of the day they are the only ones we have. Life is too short to bicker, fight and stay mad. We should cherish the bond between siblings and be thankful we have them. I do not know what I would do without her in my life.
Today I am grateful for the roof over my head. I’ve moved almost 7 times in my life but have always had a steady and constant place to live. Whether it be a hotel, a families house, an apartment or my own home. I am thankful that I have a warm and cozy place to stay with a bed to lay on. I will forever be thankful for each home or place I have lived in.
Today I am thankful for all of my in laws. When I married my husband I did not just gain in laws, I truly gained another family to be apart of. My husbands family welcomed me into their family with open arms and for that I will forever be thankful. I have the most wonderful in laws that I could ever ask for. Life is more special with them in it.
Today I am thankful for all my friends. Life would be really hard and boring without all of them. I met each and everyone of them in different ways and different parts of my life. Although I have lost some over the years, I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to be a part of their life. I will forever be thankful for each of my friends. They mean the world to me and I make sure to always let them know that I appreciate them.
Today I am grateful for my car. I take my car for granted a lot sometimes. My car takes me from point A to point B whenever I want to go somewhere or do something. Many people do not have a car or have a car that has trouble staying alive. I love my car and would not know what to do without it.
Today I am grateful for food! Food keeps me going and keeps me healthy. I take food for granted sometimes because it is always around. There are so many people in this world that do not have access to food all the time.
Today I am grateful for for WiFi and internet. I would be completely lost sometimes without it. I almost forget sometimes what my life was like before WiFi and internet. I take it for granted, until it stops working and then I become grateful for it when it does work.
Today I am grateful for clean water and drinks. I used to believe that everyone had access to clean water and drinks. This was until my aunt shared a story of what she used to have to do to get clean water. After awhile she stopped doing what she needed to do and only drank soda. This made me grateful for things to drink, as well as access to clean water.
Today I am grateful for my cell phone. I would be completely lost without my cell phone. This device is how I keep track of my life and my family. I believe it is just a right of passage, but as I think back I didn’t have a cell phone until I was 14. I should be grateful I got one all together. I will forever be grateful for my cell phone that keeps my life together.
Today I am grateful for the holiday of Thanksgiving. This holiday is one of the few times a year that I get to see most of my family or my in laws. I am so very grateful for the time I get to spend with them. Each Thanksgiving is always a blessing. Although traditions have changed, people have passed and families have changed my love for Thanksgiving has always remained. I will forever be grateful for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Today I am grateful for my health. Although I do have Epilepsy, anxiety and a couple other health issues I am still very healthy. For that I am grateful each and every day. I have taken my health for granted many times but when I am reminded of how lucky I really am, I become very grateful for my good health.
Today I am grateful for the world. The world is my playground and I should take every opportunity to explore it and learn about it. When I lived in Kansas and did not travel, I did not know much. Now that I am frequently traveling I have become more in tune with the world and admiring how much there truly is to offer. I will forever be thankful and grateful for the experiences that I have had and will have in the future.
Today I am grateful for the radio and music. I am constantly listening to music and the radio when I am on the road or just sitting at home. The radio and music bring a peaceful vibe into my life. It helps to keep my anxiety in check, as well as calm me down when I am anxious. For this, I will always be thankful and grateful for music.
Today I am grateful for time. I did not realize how precious time really was until someone showed me. I have always taken this for granted but in life we have to make every minute count. Life is too short to waste time and I plan on using up every minute I have left.
Today I am grateful for the world. If I did not have a world to live in I would not be able to take in the incredible views. See what I have seen, heard what I have heard, taste what I have tasted, touch what I have touched and so much more. I am thankful each and every day that I get to live in this world.
Today I am grateful for the blogging world. This world has allowed me to meet many new creative and inspiring people. This world has allowed me to be myself and be creative. Before I started this I felt like something was missing from my life. After I created this it has kept my brain working, flowing and allowed me to use my creative side which I have missed. For this, I will truly always be thankful for this experience.
Today I am grateful for all of my readers and my future readers. Without all of you none of this would be possible. I thank each and every one of you for reading what I have to say, liking and commenting on everything that I post. Again thank you for reading and interacting with me, it has been nice to get to know many of you!
I hope this post has inspired you to be thankful and grateful for the many things in your life. Some we take for granted, others we count our blessings for each and every day. This world has so much to be thankful for, that sometimes we just need to stop and reflect on what we do have to be thankful for. Thank you for reading and I hope you continue to feel inspired.
