This is Katie from Creative Travel Guide. We have lived in China now for 6 months and absolutely love it! The people are friendly and kind. The food is amazing and extensively varied. Most importantly, the sights are unique. In saying this, we thought we would share with you our favorite 7 cities. 7 amazing cities that you must visit in China.
Amsterdam is a city infamous for its hedonistic side, the side most often seen by visitors and limited only to a small area. Despite the city’s reputation, there are so many things to do in Amsterdam beyond the red light districts and “coffee shops.” Once you reach beyond the most tourist parts of the city, you’ll find historical areas nearly dripping with charm. Despite its pint size and the feeling that it is more of an overgrown village than a city, Amsterdam competes with other European capitals for the amount of great things to see and do.
Have you ever moved away or went somewhere for a long or short time and started missing home? Well, if you red my last blog post, you would know I had a really bad case of homesickness. What is homesickness you ask? Homesickness is caused by being away from home and having symptoms of anxiousness and depression. Other symptoms can include withdrawing and a difficulty focusing. These feelings can come in waves or can be a constant for a long period of time.
Life is full of adventures, some are better than others. Imagine packing your entire life up to move somewhere that life is full of unknowns in just a little under 2 weeks. Crazy right? Where are you going to live? What are you going to do for a job? How are you going to get a job? How are you going to see your family again? The list of questions can go on and on for hours. I am an introvert that overthinks, hates unknowns, has anxiety and does not adapt well to change or like to change.
North Carolina is known well for the state having the best of both worlds. There is the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other side with great city life in between. When I first moved to this state I was completely amazed at how much greenery there is all over the state. I am from Kansas, we do have trees and grass but there is a lot more greenery here than there. I have been to my fair share of places all over my home state of North Carolina.
First off, Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a very happy new year. I still cannot believe that 2017 has come and gone and we are already in the year 2018. 2017 was definitely a year to remember as it was full of events, travel and so many more. 2017 was my first full year in my new hometown: Raleigh, North Carolina. This place is 15 and a half hours away from everything I have ever known, as well as my family and friends. 2017 was a year full of tests, trials and tribulations. Below I will show you my year in review through travel, pictures and memories that will live on forever.
When thinking of Missouri what do you Fort think of? I think of the St. Louis arch, Lake of the Ozarks, cows, farmland and plenty of greenery. Missouri is full of life from different colleges, Amish Cities, Farm land and city life. Missouri is also known as the “show me state”.
Before my first cruise I seriously had no idea what I should pack or what was even necessary for a cruise. Obviously I needed the essentials but what do you really pack for a cruise. Do you pack your entire closet? Do you just pick random things and throw them in a bag? Do you just pack a swim suit and hope for the best? I mean really what do you pack for a cruise was the day in and day out question.
My husband is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. A town I have grown to love over the last few years of being with him. He first took me here in 2012 and I went back year after year ever since. The town is your typical college town, but it is also so much more than that. This town has come to feel like my 2nd home and I town that I love to escape to and visit. The town is just a short drive away from the Great Smoky Mountains, also a short drive always from towns such as Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
I am biased when I say Chicago is the best city in the country. My love for the skyline, the smells, and the sights will never change. I have been thankful to grow up 45 minutes away just over the border in Indiana where Chicago was a place where I frequently visited. Baseball games, sightseeing, Navy Pier, Christmas Lights and all the other tourist spots were frequently visited by my family.
